- 4. Compounding: This step involves using a more abrasive compound to remove deeper imperfections. The product is applied with a machine polisher that smooths out the surface.
- 5. Polishing: After compounding, a less abrasive polish is used to refine the finish, removing any minor imperfections left from the compounding stage.
- 6. Final Inspection: The paint is carefully inspected to ensure that all imperfections have been removed, and the surface has a mirror-like finish.
- 7. Protection: After correction, a protective layer, such as wax, sealant, or ceramic coating, is often applied to protect the freshly corrected paint from future damage
